We have been very fortunate in having enjoyed some 20 villa holidays in Europe over the past 25 years. Finca Cars-Bonaira is, without doubt, the finest we have experienced being both well located and extremely well equipped. The pool was superb and the 'Summer Kitchen' a real bonus. Communication with the owner, Susie, has been accurate, clear and timely and her property manager, John, could not have been more helpful. The local area is interesting and there are many restaurants in the nearby towns which offer great local produce. The' Menu Del Dia' offer unbelievable value for money. We had a brilliant holiday and will certainly return in the future. — Andrew, Mary, Roger & Pat, 22 Jun 2016
Spent an idyllic two weeks with adult children and their partners. The finca really is a perfect place with Susie the owner providing everything you could think of. The finca was spotless when we arrived and John and Denise looked after us very well. Ronda and Granada are definitely places worth visiting. We also went to the El Chorro lakes which are a beautiful shade of turquoise - so beautiful our daughter's boyfriend proposed to her there! We visited the Cactus Garden in Casarabonela which was surprisingly interesting. We had a lovely lunch at the Bar Nueva in Casarabonela where the food was good and service very friendly. We went for the day to Malaga also which again is worth a visit as most people just fly in and then go off somewhere else to stay. It was always lovely to come back to the finca and take a refreshing dip in the pool. A lovely relaxing holiday in a lovely peaceful place with stunning views in one of the few places where you can go for a stroll and meet the local goatherd with his goats coming the other way! — Sue & Family, 23 May 2016
My family and I have been fortunate enough to stay in a number of villas across the globe over the years and this wonderful Finca ranks among the very best. There was nothing we could fault. We stayed here with our two boys (5 and 11) and their grandparents at Easter and absolutely loved it. The attention to detail at this place is incredible and is a testament to the way that Susie (the owner) understands what guests want/need to make for a great stay. The Finca and grounds are naturally beautiful and fit wonderfully into a glorious setting. There is nothing like plucking oranges and lemons from the trees in the grounds and using them in a juice (or something stronger). There are gorgeous views from what feels like a hundred different vantage points - we tried them all out (with a gin and tonic) and found each as different and as good as the next. It seemed that we were forever finding new places and spaces in and around the Finca that added to our enjoyment and experience. If we get the chance we will be returning without a doubt. We could go on forever but check it out via the Facebook page (regularly updated by Susie) and you'll see what a great place it is. — Martin and Family, 30 Mar 2016
We spent 9 days here in August 2015, 2 adults and 3 children between 7 and 12. The pool is a great size, perfect for games and also swimming. The site is divine, the views and privacy afforded are brilliant and the setting is one of the best I've seen. The finca is beautifully decorated throughout and it is obviously a much loved second home. Locally we can recommend the aquamarine swimming lakes to the north where as well as swimming you can rent pedalos and take part in the 'Total wipeout' type inflatables. Malaga was also a very pleasant surprise, a beautiful cosmopolitan city. We would have no hesitation in recommending the finca as a place to have a wonderful holiday and found Susie to be an informative and very pleasant host. Thanks so much! — Ingrid and Family, 13 Aug 2015
We were a party of 4 who have holidayed in Andalucia for the past 10 years in villas in various villages. The Finca was wonderful - beautifully appointed with a lot of thought put into the furnishings, fittings and equipment. The views were spectacular from all around the grounds. The pool was excellent. Bar Nuevo in the village is highly recommended as the food and staff were lovely and made us feel most welcome. We had a fantastic holiday and cannot recommend the Finca highly enough. — Two holidaying couples, 23 Jun 2015
This is such a wonderful holiday home. We have just returned from one of the most restful holidays we have ever had. The house is in a great location - just 40 minutes from the airport with complete privacy, peace and quiet and fabulous views. The villa itself is so well equipped and to a very high standard, probably the best we have experienced. A real home from home with absolutely everything we needed. Lots of terraces to sunbathe or just chill out and very comfortable furniture and sunbeds. Lovely gardens and fresh fruit to pick and eat direct from the tree. We made full use of the binoculars to view the wildlife and were particularly entertained by the swallows swooping down over the pool every evening. The local village was easy to get to with a reasonable supermarket for local grocery shopping. The owner, Susie, was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. She obviously cares that the house has everything needed and that guests have a marvellous time. We would definitely recommend this villa and hope to return soon ourselves. — L&N, 07 May 2015
We have stayed in many rural villas over the years and this is the best so far. The four day break at this Villa was a great chance to explore the region. Nights in front of the log burner were very cosy, mornings drinking freshly squeezed juice from oranges picked from the trees in the beautiful garden. The Villa is equipped with everything required and the owner is very attentive. We are coming again in April and can`t wait to be back — C&M, 26 Feb 2015
The villa is in a perfect location looking south towards Malaga from the mountains. We reached it easily from Malaga airport. The setting is idyllic in grounds filled with olive and fruit trees and there are plenty of seating areas in the gardens to choose from depending on the location of sun or shade at any time of day. At the end of October we still managed to swim in the pool every day. The house itself is beautifully furnished and everything has been thought of from luxuriously soft towels to appliances in the kitchen and WiFi. The location is great for driving in all directions to visit mountains, the white Andalucian villages or the coast. We ate big lunches of delicious local food and enjoyed local snacks and wine on the candle-lit patio at night. We also used the outdoor kitchen to barbeque. This is a perfect place for a holiday to simply relax in a tranquil atmosphere or to be more active and enjoy the surrounding area — The Rutte Family, 03 Nov 2014
The finca is in a beautiful, peaceful location set in its own substantial grounds. It's well equipped and very comfortable. We spent most of our time around the pool, reading, playing lilo Olympics and planning what to eat next or what mini excursion we might persuade our 10 year old to go on. Casarabonela has a few places to eat, great Argentinian steaks at the swimming pool, ice cream in the main square and the barbecue at bar la parada. Malaga is near and worth a visit, as is Ronda, Antequera, Torcal and the massive reservoirs near El Chorro. We had a really good, relaxing holiday and would hope to come back again one day soon. We have a teenager and a 10 year old who we're content to hang out by the pool. We also all enjoyed various walks in the rugged countryside nearby, culture and shopping in Malaga, Antequera and Ronda. It ticked all the boxes for us! — The Adams Family, 21 Sep 2014
I have stayed in many mountain Fincas over many years and this one was most definitely the best yet. Very clean, lovely decor, stunning views, enormous pool, close to shops, lots of seating areas to discover, brilliant outdoor kitchen. Stayed for 2 weeks with 4 teenage children and we didn't go anywhere else, didn't want to which probably sums it up. I cannot possibly find anything negative to say, in fact the complete opposite. If you like rural with stunning views, stunning grounds and beautiful accommodation this is the place to go. I cannot think how it could be improved upon, just wonderful. — The Eves Family, 12 Aug 2014
Such a restful beautiful place. We stayed here as a family of four in July 2014. We had the most lovely time. The finca itself is very stylish and welcoming, you'll feel right at home, every thing is there that you can possibly want - an outdoor kitchen with a huge barbecue, amazing pool (with loads of pool toys) and the grounds are so extensive, there was always something new to see or ripe fruit to be picked (honestly, my fruit loving kids were well happy and my g&t did benefit from the odd citrus fruit ;)). We were there a week and still didn't feel like we'd explored it properly. My little boy (usually a bit homesick) adored the place and wants to go back, which to be honest is about the biggest recommendation I can give. The owner is also really lovely. Very caring, she really seems to care and wants you to have a lovely time and it really shows in the property which really has been kitted out to ensure your stay is relaxing and you're not cursing because you can't find what you need. Have a fab time (I envy you!) give our love to the geckos, the frog chorus and the visiting dog!
